Where It All Started
Verdo began with a simple mission: give Auckland women access to quality nail services in a clean, welcoming space. Gel nails, SNS, BIAB, nail art. The basics done beautifully. Word spread quickly through Parnell and surrounding suburbs like Newmarket, Remuera, and Mission Bay. Before long, clients started asking: "Do you do facials too?" and "Can you recommend a good moisturiser?"
That is when things started to evolve.
Why We Expanded Into Skincare
The truth is, nails and skin are deeply connected. Nail changes are a recognised window onto general health, which is how a nail technician ends up hearing about a great deal more than nails (Gollins et al., 2021). Clients who came in for manicures would ask about cuticle care, which led to conversations about hand creams, which led to conversations about facial skincare. It was a natural progression.

Pure Fiji
