Pure Fiji Hydrating Body Mist 150Ml

Some days a body cream is more than skin wants. A humid Auckland afternoon, or a gym bag at six in the morning, calls for something lighter that does not sit heavy. That is the job here. Coconut water and plant extracts in a light spray, for a quick hit of hydration and a trace of scent.

How to use it

Hold the bottle about 20 to 30cm away, roughly an arm's length, and sweep as you spray rather than aiming at one spot. A good moment is straight after a shower while skin is still slightly damp, with a body lotion or oil over the top if you want that moisture held in for longer. After that, use it whenever skin feels tight or warm through the day. It goes over moisturiser happily enough. Give it a moment to settle before you dress.

Who it suits, and who it does not

• Good if you find body butters too heavy in summer, or if the air is humid and a cream feels like a layer too many.
• Worth keeping on the desk in winter, when indoor heating dries the air out and skin can start to feel tight through the day.
• Not enough on its own for very dry skin. That usually wants a richer cream or oil, with the mist used around it rather than instead of it.
• Skip it if you avoid fragrance, or work somewhere scent free. This is a scented product.

Being straight about the limits

A mist is a refresh, not a replacement for a moisturiser, so treat it as something you reach for through the day rather than the one step that does everything. It also gives no sun protection. New Zealand UV runs high from roughly October to March, so a refreshing spray is no stand in for sunscreen. One note for travellers: at 150ml it is over the 100ml cabin limit for liquids, so it goes in the checked bag.
