The Science Behind Lash Serums
The most-studied ingredient for eyelash growth is bimatoprost, a prostaglandin analogue originally developed for glaucoma treatment. More recently, a 2025 prospective pilot study published in the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery examined bimatoprost 0.03% for eyelash rejuvenation, confirming improvements in lash prominence in an Indian population (Johar et al., 2025, PMID: 41480305).
Peptide-Based Lash Conditioners
